As a full-service vendor, Nelnet student loan servicing including application processing, conversion loan adds, underwriting, fund disbursement, customer service, account maintenance, federal reporting and billing collections, payment processing, default aversion, claim filing, and recovery/collection services. These activities are performed internally for Nelnet’s portfolio and for third-party clients, including the Department of Education.

Currently, 24 student loan organizations utilize our software platforms to self-service over $90 billion in loan volume. To support these customers, our systems are flexible and easily modified to satisfy new requirements within short timeframes.
